How do I automatically change the appointment status based on a patient's reply to a SMS text reminder?
 
If you allow patients to reply to your SMS text messages you can automatically cause Bridge-IT to change the appointment status based on their reply. For example, if you want them to be able to confirm their appointment, or cancel their appointment via a text reply follow the steps below:
 
First go to “SMS” from the menu at the top of the screen and select “View and Process SMS Messages”.

Now select the “Processing Messages” tab. Set up the screen in a similar way to the image below.

Please note, you don't have accept cancellations but the option is there if you want it. If you don't have a “Confirmed” status in your diary you’ll need to create one which you can do by opening any appointment and pressing the yellow folder next to the “Appointment Status” field and adding the entry “Confirmed” with whatever colour you like.
