Why Treatment Plan Templates?
Traditionally, when creating a new course of treatment for a patient, you’d need to manually add each appointment and treatment step. If you perform similar treatments every week, this can quickly become repetitive and time-consuming.
Our new Plan Template feature lets you create reusable templates from any existing course of treatment. That means if you want to reproduce a standard treatment plan for another patient, you can do it instantly — no need to start from scratch.
How Does It Work?
Create a Template From Any Course
Simply right-click on an existing course of treatment and select “Create a Plan Template From Course.”
Example: a course with one appointment that includes an exam, an X-ray, and a hygiene session.Customise Your Template
You’ll be prompted to:Assign a unique code and description.
Review the number of appointments and treatments included.
Choose which providers can use the template (perfect if you want to keep templates relevant to different specialties).
Access Templates Within the Patient Record
On the Charting tab, you’ll now see a new Plan Templates section alongside your usual treatments. Hover over a template to preview the included appointments and treatments at a glance.Apply a Template Instantly
Add a blank course to the patient record, then simply double-click the template you want. The full course of treatment will be instantly inserted — appointments, treatments, and all.

Prices are not stored in templates. Instead, your current fee schedule is automatically applied every time you use a template, ensuring patients always see today’s pricing.Use in Treatment Options
